Job summary

SELF HELP GROUPS STUDENT CARE LIMITED is seeking a motivated Student Care Officer to join our islandwide network of school-based centres. You will deliver high-quality supervision and care to children in our after-school programme, with hours during term from 11am to 7pm and holidays an 8-hour shift between 7.30am to 7pm.

You will engage children in activities, monitor health and safety, communicate with parents, and maintain records, all while collaborating with colleagues to create

Responsibilities

• Supervising and engaging children with activities, homework help, and educational projects.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Student Care Officer. We have islandwide locations available and the selected individual shall be based in a school-based student care centre. The individual is required to deliver high-quality care and supervision to children in our after-school student care programme.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supervising and engaging children in a range of activities, including homework assistance, recreational play, and educational projects
2. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
3. Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates and address any concerns
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children's attendance, progress, and any incidents
5. Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities
6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

1. O level and above
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families

Working hours

During normal school term: 11am to 7pm (Mon to Fri)
