PlayFacto @ Simei is seeking enthusiastic Student Care Teachers to join our team in the Simei East Region. This full-time role focuses on safe, nurturing care for school-age children after school and during enrichment activities, helping them learn, play, and grow socially.

You will plan engaging activities, monitor wellbeing, and communicate progress with parents while maintaining a safe, organized environment and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high standards of care.

About the role PlayFacto @ Simei is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Student Care Teachers to join our team in the Simei East Region. This is a full-time position offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives during their out-of-school hours. As a Student Care Teacher, you will be responsible for providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care whilst fostering a supportive environment where children can learn, play, and develop important social skills. This role is central to our mission of providing quality childcare and enrichment programmes that complement formal education.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and care for children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and emotional needs are met
2. Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate activities, games, and educational programmes that promote creativity, learning, and personal development
3. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and activities
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised care environment that meets all relevant health and safety standards
5. Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and social interaction
6. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent care standards and a harmonious team environment
7. Monitor and record children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental observations
8. Respond promptly to children's needs and manage behaviour in a calm, patient, and professional manner
9. Support children with homework completion and provide encouragement for academic progress

What we're looking for

1. A relevant qualification in childcare, early childhood education, or a related field (or willingness to obtain such qualifications)
2. Previous experience working with children in a school-age or childcare setting is highly desirable
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues
4. Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
5. Ability to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and programmes
6. Sound knowledge of child safeguarding, health, and safety practices
7. Physical capability to actively engage with children during play and activities
8. Flexibility and reliability in attendance and punctuality
9. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also managing responsibilities independently
10. First aid certification (or willingness to obtain it) is advantageous
