Job summary

Brightmind Learning Hub @ Yishun is seeking an energetic centre-based educator to supervise P1–P6 students, support homework, and deliver in-house enrichment programs. You will plan holiday activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for holistic student development.

You should have strong classroom management, good English communication skills (Chinese is a plus), and be flexible for morning shifts or longer hours during school holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching primary school students in a community-based setting is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are a plus to assist with homework guidance.
• Basic child safety awareness and ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support P1–P6 students with homework and tests.
• Deliver weekly enrichment programs and holiday activity plans.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with core curriculum and enrichment activities.
• Coordinate holiday programs to boost student participation and growth.
• Maintain a conducive learning environment with clear behavior rules.
• Fetch students from nearby schools during dismissal and communicate progress to parents.
• Ensure student safety and wellbeing during centre operating hours.
• Collaborate with Centre Manager and teachers as a team.
• Handle housekeeping and ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

Brightmind Learning Hub @ Yishun is a community-based student care centre located at 742 Yishun Avenue 5 #01-470(3 minutes' walk from Yishun MRT), providing a safe, supportive learning environment with enrichment programmes, child-minding, and holistic activities all under one roof.

Job Summary

You will support primary school students by supervising their schoolwork; prepare and deliver in-house enrichment programs; plan and execute engaging activities for the students during the school holidays; good classroom management skills; strong communication skills so as to provide students' update to parents, and most importantly, ensuring students' safety and well-being during the Centre's operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support P1-P6 students with their school homework, spelling/Chinese Tingxie revision and tests.
• Prepare and deliver our weekly in-house programs to enhance student learning in our Centre.
• Develop and execute lesson plans incorporating core curriculum support, enrichment activities, outdoor and recreational programs to promote holistic student development.
• Plan, discuss and execute holiday programs with engaging activities that foster student participation and growth.
• Manage classroom environment by setting clear behaviour rules to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• To fetch the students from nearby schools which are within short walking distance during school dismissal time
• Communicate regularly and promptly with parents regarding their child’s academic progress and well-being.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure student safety and well-being at all times while under the Centre's care.
• To work as a good team player and support other teachers/ Centre Manager when required.
• Perform housekeeping and ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the Centre Manager

Required competencies and certifications

• Strong work ethics, high integrity and great sense of responsibility.
• Experience in teaching primary school students, preferably in a community-based student care centre
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and preferably also Chinese (written and spoken) so as to guide students effectively with homework and revisions.
• Minimum GCE O-Level qualification, with Diploma holders preferred. WSQ Student Care or qualifications in field of community & social services is an advantage
• Flexibility to work morning shifts (from 7am) and/or longer hours during school holidays.

• A good team player with positive disposition and good classroom management skills.

Salary:

• $1,200 - $2,600

Full Time Working hours

• Weekdays (10am - 7pm)

Part Time Working hours

• Weekdays (1pm - 6pm)
• $12/hr
