Job summary

HFSE International in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Student Care Assistant to support daily activities, supervise students during homework, meals, and playtime, and help maintain a safe, structured environment.

You will assist with enrichment activities, support behavioural guidance, communicate with parents at drop-off and pick-up, and help coordinate information between parents, students, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in childcare/education setting is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Basic first aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising students during daily activities, including homework time, meals, and playtime.
• Ensure students' safety and well-being by maintaining a safe and structured environment.
• Provide assistance to students in completing homework and other educational tasks.
• Support the execution of enrichment activities, including games, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
• Engage students in group and individual activities to promote social and emotional development.
• Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and promote positive student behaviour.
• Help address minor behavioural issues in alignment with the centres guidelines.
• Communicate with parents during drop-off and pick-up times, providing brief updates on their childs progress and activities.
• Assist the Student Care Supervisor in coordinating information between parents, students, and staff.
• Help prepare and organize snacks, materials, and resources needed for daily activities.
• Ensure the student care area is clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Observe and report any incidents, accidents, or injuries to the Student Care Supervisor promptly.
• Assist in completing necessary incident reports and documentation.
