Job summary

OCBC in Singapore invites undergraduate and postgraduate students to join the Institutional Clients - Structured Products & Syndicate internship. You will gain exposure to capital markets, structured products, fixed income solutions, and client engagement activities while developing your analytical, technical, and communication skills and contributing to growth initiatives.

• Familiarity with VBA programming or automation tools would be advantageous.

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
• Available for a minimum full-time internship commitment of 6.5 months.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Support: provide administrative and operational support to the Institutional Sales desk across Structured Products, Fixed Income, and Syndicate activities.
• Process Automation: support automation initiatives, including the enhancement of term sheet and pricing supplement generation through Excel VBA and other digital solutions.
• Presentation Development: assist in preparing client and management presentation materials covering financial products, market developments, and investment opportunities.
• Market & Data Analysis: support data extraction, analysis, and preparation of insights for management meetings, business reviews, and strategic discussions.
• Reporting & Management Information: prepare periodic reports, including trade volume analysis, staff training records, and business performance updates.
• Event Coordination: assist in organising client events, internal learning sessions, regional conference calls, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Documentation & Stakeholder Support: coordinate meeting materials, maintain records, prepare meeting minutes, and support communication with internal stakeholders.
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on business initiatives, process improvements, and strategic projects as assigned.
