Job summary

Look Capital is seeking a Strategy Associate to work closely with the CEO and senior management to shape and scale the company's growing Family Office and private investment business. This hands-on role offers exposure to strategy, investment opportunities, product development, client needs and business execution.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in early-stage investment or strategy from a tech company, with strong business judgment and execution ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above from a reputable university; Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
• Approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in early-stage investment, venture capital, corporate strategy or related fields.
• Fluent in English and Chinese with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Strategy Associate to work closely with the CEO and senior management team to help shape and scale the company's growing Family Office and private investment business.

This is a hands-on and highly independent role, with direct exposure to strategy, investment opportunities, product development, client needs and business execution. The ideal candidate will bring either early-stage investment experience or strategy experience from a leading technology/internet company, and will be able to translate industry insights, market opportunities and client demand into actionable business initiatives. Rather than focusing primarily on analysis and reporting, this role requires strong business judgment, structured problem-solving and execution ownership, with the ability to support initiatives from opportunity identification through productization, go-to-market and review. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior management, investment partners, client-facing teams and high-net-worth technology clients, while contributing to the build-out of a differentiated Family Office platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the CEO and senior management to identify strategic priorities, new business opportunities and key growth initiatives for the Family Office business, supported by market, industry, client and operational analysis.
• Develop insights into private market and early-stage investment opportunities, especially across technology, AI, internet, hard tech and other innovation-driven sectors, and help translate these insights into client-facing investment ideas and product opportunities.
• Partner with Investment, Business Development, Operations, Compliance, Finance and client-facing teams to support product strategy, client segmentation, sales enablement and first-order conversion, while continuously improving how Look matches client demand with internal product capabilities.
• Help build scalable business and management infrastructure, including client data management, business reporting, performance tracking, project management and review mechanisms, to improve business execution and organizational efficiency.
• Explore the use of technology and AI tools across research, knowledge management, business collaboration and client delivery to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above from a reputable university; Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
• Approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in early-stage investment, venture capital, corporate strategy, business operations, CEO Office or related fields. Candidates with VC/private investment experience or strategy experience in leading technology/internet companies are particularly well suited.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop sound business judgment and translate analysis into practical business recommendations.
• Strong interest in technology, innovation and private market investment, with the ability to form independent views on industries, business models, investment opportunities and client demand.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively and independently with senior management, investment partners, cross-functional teams and client-facing colleagues in a fast-changing environment.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties in both languages.
