Job summary

Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is seeking an Intern in Strategy & Innovation to support geospatial technology projects, including quantum sensing, GeoAI, and advanced mapping. You will assist with research, technology assessments, and partnership building among government, industry, and academia to strengthen Singapore's Geomatics ecosystem.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, professional development initiatives, and collaboration across the Geomatics Engineering & Geospatial community.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program.
• Exposure to government or research environments is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of geospatial technologies or GIS.
• Interest in emerging tech (AI, quantum sensing, mapping) and strong research abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proof-of-concept initiatives in emerging technologies (quantum sensing, GeoAI, mapping).
• Coordinate partnerships with industry and academic partners, and provide administrative support for the Geomatics Community of Practice (SpatialX).
• Support technology assessments, help prepare funding proposals, and facilitate knowledge sharing among government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions.
• Support development of Singapore's GE&G industry through manpower trend research and technology roadmaps; assist with capability enhancement programmes.
• Help organise industry engagement events and provide administrative support including performance tracking.
