Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Geomatics/Geospatial Manager/Senior Engineer in Strategy & Innovation to lead Singapore's geospatial technology efforts.

You will drive frontier technology exploration, oversee PoC projects in quantum sensing, GeoAI, and advanced mapping, and build partnerships with government, industry and academia to advance national capabilities. Strong writing and communication skills are essential as you will coordinate across diverse stakeholders and prepare proposals for funding.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years public-sector geomatics experience.
• Background in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geospatial, GIS or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills with interest in GeoAI and emerging geomatics tech.

[What the role is]

Geomatics/ Geospatial Manager/ Senior Engineer, Strategy & Innovation

[What you will be working on]

• Drive Singapore's geospatial technology leadership through frontier technology exploration and strategic partnership development.
• Lead proof-of-concept projects for emerging technologies (quantum sensing, GeoAI, advanced mapping), build strategic partnerships with industry and academia, and support SLA’s Geomatics Community of Practice operations.
• Conduct technology assessments, prepare funding proposals, and facilitate knowledge exchange across government, industry, and research institutions.

[What we are looking for]

• 3-5 years working experience in public-sector business administration for geomatics/geospatial and related fields (e.g. technology and innovation-related roles and stakeholder engagement) will be preferred.
• Background in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geospatial, GIS or any equivalent qualifications conferred by a recognised university would be preferred.
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion in emerging geomatics/geospatial technology (GeoAI, AI, 3D surveying and mapping, quantum sensing)
