Job summary

HITACHI RAIL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to manage procurement and production activities and ensure timely delivery of materials.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement/supply chain or related project management, with knowledge of SAP and a background in engineering or business administration. You will work closely with design, procurement and field teams to optimize cost, quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering background (preferred) or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years in Procurement/Supply Chain or in Bid/Project Management roles.
• Rail industry knowledge will be valued.
• Procurement certification (CIPS, EIPM) or Project Management certification (IPMA, PMP) desirable.
• Analytical and resolution capacity.
• Familiar with repairs process and supply chain matters.
• Prior knowledge of SAP would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Participates in defining the industrial strategy plan and budgets for procurement and production activities.
• Monitors EAC/ETC files and prepares dashboards for stakeholders.
• Identifies risks and opportunities and defines mitigation plans to improve competitiveness.
• Brings innovation and value to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinates category managers and suppliers to optimize cost, quality and schedule.
