Job summary

WD is seeking a Commodity Manager to shape its global supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier leadership, and cost management. The role develops category strategies, secures contracts, and unlocks supplier-enabled innovation to deliver measurable savings and mitigate risk.

You will drive supplier selection, LTAs, and negotiations while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and R&D to enable design-to-cost and scalable solutions across a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience with supplier negotiations and global strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead supplier selection, RFI/RFP/RFQ, and negotiations for LTAs.
• Drive supplier segmentation, QBRs, and corrective action plans.
• Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity targets.
• Identify and mitigate risks across capacity, supply continuity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.

Job Description

• Global, multi-site procurement experience.
