Job summary

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years in procurement/sourcing, with Marine/Oil & Gas exposure a plus. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor Degree with at least 3 years' experience in procurement and sourcing or related industries.
• Experience in Marine and/or Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of local and overseas sources for materials and equipment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; meticulous and independent.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement and category management strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and develop supplier performance metrics.
• Establish KPIs to achieve objectives for supply, quality, and cost.
• Streamline procurement systems, processes, and controls for efficiency.
• Oversee quotations, tenders, and procurement policies to meet timelines.
• Manage ISO records and highlight review areas.
• Conduct bid evaluations and negotiate favorable terms.
• Lead bulk purchases and ad hoc material requirements.
• Handle day-to-day purchase requests and vendor meetings.
• Attend weekly meetings with vendors and internal teams.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, services, and labour at competitive prices.
• Estimate freight costs and coordinate freight forwarding.
• Ensure purchases comply with policies and quality standards.
• Source materials locally and internationally per policy.
• Evaluate quotations and negotiate for best overall deal.
• Represent the company with vendors and subcontractors for timely fulfilment.
• Ensure SOPs meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
