You will drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and shape the technical direction of our mission-critical platforms, collaborating with global teams to deliver value across Grab's ecosystem.

You will manage staff planning, oversee architecture reviews, and partner with product and analytics to align roadmaps with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience leading teams of junior to lead-level engineers.
• Advanced expertise in distributed systems, including high availability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling complex engineering organizations.
• Strong expertise in code and design review processes with the ability to maintain high technical standards.
• Proven ability to manage full accountability for platform systems serving multiple use cases and products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers across experience levels and specializations.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
• Partner with product, design, and analytics to develop customer-focused roadmaps and success metrics.
• Define engineering strategy and key results targets focusing on testability, availability, security, and code quality.
• Conduct quarterly planning and build execution plans for product and engineering roadmaps.
• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent and develop growth opportunities.
