Job summary

Achieve Group is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the risk team, supporting the monitoring and analysis of market and trading exposures across the business. This role collaborates with Trading, Finance and Risk to provide insights into risk positions, portfolio performance and market movements in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 3–6 years of relevant experience in market/commodity risk, strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel with SQL/Python/Power BI experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in market risk, commodity risk, trading risk or related function.
• Exposure to energy, commodities, trading or financial markets would be advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills; SQL, Python, Power BI or other analytical tools would be advantageous.
• Ability to translate analysis into insights and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse daily trading and market risk exposures.
• Prepare regular risk reports and provide analysis on portfolio and position movements.
• Analyse market data, P&L movements, sensitivities and key risk indicators.
• Support risk monitoring across physical and/or financial commodity positions.
• Perform exposure, limit and sensitivity analysis and highlight potential concerns.
• Work with Trading and other teams to assess risk positions.
• Develop and improve risk reporting and processes.
• Assist with risk controls, policies and governance requirements.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and support risk management projects.
