Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking a qualified accountant to partner with Global IT for overheads governance, budgeting and forecasting. You will manage Capex/Opex accounting, provide timely financial data, and support leadership reviews with detailed spend analysis.

You will collaborate with Budget holders, Portfolio Management and Group Finance to deliver accurate annual budgets and periodic reforecasts, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for cost control decisions.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong Excel and Financial Systems (SAP) skills are essential.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Challenge current ways of working, driving efficiencies and cost savings and execute the Overheads efficiency Strategy across the Global IT Function.
• Focus on IT Projects portfolio and provide accurate financial management information for leadership reviews.
• Manage Capex/Opex accounting treatments and prepare timely budgets, forecasts and actuals.
• Support monthly financial reviews with Senior budget holders and the Global CIO, advising on commercial, capital and investment proposals.
• Create monthly performance views, forecasts, and budget variance analyses for the Function.
