Job summary

Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) seeks a seasoned international relations professional to support the Deputy Director (International Relations) in steering Singapore's space diplomacy agenda and shaping its international positioning.

The role coordinates bilateral and multilateral engagements, represents Singapore at high-level platforms, and builds strategic partnerships with foreign counterparts to advance national interests.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in international relations, international engagement, public policy, government relations, strategic partnerships, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of international and geopolitical developments, with the ability to assess their implications for organisational priorities and interests.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues and develop clear briefs, reports, presentations and recommendations for senior management.
• Willingness and ability to travel overseas as required for official engagements, meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Represent Singapore at high-level platforms and negotiations and cultivate strategic relationships with foreign counterparts.
• Manage bilateral and multilateral engagements and secure high value cooperation aligned to Singapore's strategic interests.
• Contribute to the negotiation and implementation of cooperation agreements and oversee capacity building programmes as a vehicle for influence.
