Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Strategic Energy Land Use Planner within EMA's Land Planning Branch. You will shape long-term land, sea space and infrastructure planning for Singapore’s evolving energy system, coordinating with agencies and stakeholders to safeguard corridors and enable cross-border imports and new energy tech.

You will lead or support studies, master planning, policy development and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Urban Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Real Estate, Public Policy or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, cross-agency environment.
• Experience in energy infrastructure planning or master planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Energy Land Use Planning: Develop long-term plans and safeguard land, sea space and corridors for energy infrastructure.
• Energy Infrastructure Development and Master Planning: Lead or support feasibility and master planning studies and assess constraints.
• Electricity Import Development: Identify landing sites and cross-border cable corridors and coordinate with agencies and developers.
• Cross-Agency Coordination and Policy Development: Engage agencies and develop guidelines on land needs, wayleave, and infrastructure development.
• Stakeholder and Project Coordination: Represent EMA in inter-agency groups and facilitate timely infrastructure delivery.
