Job summary

Synapxe in Singapore seeks a Deputy Director of Procurement to support and complement the Director in strategic and operational leadership of the Procurement Department. The role deputises the Director Procurement in day-to-day procurement operations across Synapxe business units and Healthcare Clusters/Entities.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of technology trends impacting procurement and will drive cross-cluster procurement initiatives to ensure timely and clear outcomes

Responsibilities

• drive procurement operations in support of national, clusters/entities, cross-cluster projects’ procurement needs
• have direct oversight of the procurement activities in support of a few critical business groups
• keep the Director Procurement and Senior Management updated on Synapxe technology and vendor landscape and the challenges Synapxe faces in acquiring the necessary systems and resources to support the public healthcare entities’ technology procurement requirements
• support and help the Director Procurement in working with the various business units in Synapxe to initiate measures to keep up with the challenges and shape the vendor(s) landscape in the interest of public healthcare
