Job summary

Great Eastern in Singapore seeks a Lead Data Translator to bridge business stakeholders and the Group Data & AI division. You will design analytical solutions aligned with strategic objectives and ensure measurable business value.

You will define data translation strategy, map analytics roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams of data analysts, scientists, and engineers to deliver feasible, interpretable solutions and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of analytics, consulting, or business strategy experience with data-driven initiatives.
• Strong leadership and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into analytical problem statements.
• Broad understanding of data, analytics and AI trends and practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the organisation data translation strategy to maximise business impact from data and analytics.
• Partner with senior business leaders to identify, scope and map out the analytics roadmap for the business division and translate them into a clear portfolio of initiatives.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear analytical problem statements and develop the solution approaches.
• Oversee the alignment of analytical solutions and work with data analysts, data scientists and data engineers to ensure feasibility and interpretability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders in forming business cases and success metrics to evaluate analytics impact.
• Translate technical outputs into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Act as a thought leader in embedding data-driven decision making into core business processes and culture.
• Collaborate with the data translator community to build synergies and ensure consistency across the organisation.
• Promote data and analytics literacy within the business teams.
