You will provide trusted counsel to senior leaders and deliver high-impact communications to enable business outcomes. The role partners with the Group Communications team and reports to the General Manager Communications - Development, Commercial & Functions, with potential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10-15+ years of relevant communications or external affairs experience in mining, metals, energy or similar complex industries.
• Commitment to safety of yourself and your team.
• Proven strategic communications counsel to senior leaders.
• Ability to translate complex business priorities into clear communications.
• Experience managing reputational risk with sound judgement and discretion.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing across senior and cross-functional teams.
• Strong writing and content development across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications strategies aligned to Group and DCF priorities.
• Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders.
• Strengthen the profile and reputation of supported functions or divisions.
• Identify, manage and escalate communications and reputational risks as required.
• Support leadership communications, including business updates and key messages.
• Manage leader profiles and coordinate engagements with Group priorities.
• Plan and deliver events such as town halls and leadership engagements.
• Create high-quality communications materials including narratives and visuals.
