Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE Singapore is a leading provider of MRO services and aerospace components, offering sourcing and procurement solutions within a global supply chain. This position focuses on cost-effective material sourcing, vendor management, and on-time delivery for aerospace manufacturing and MRO needs.

In this role you will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and finance to secure materials, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in materials procurement and vendor management in the aerospace/manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
• High attention to detail.
• Organised and able to follow through from sourcing to delivery.
• Pro-active, results oriented and self-driven.
• Able to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials in the most cost-effective and timely manner to meet organisational needs.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
• Plan and coordinate timely delivery of purchases to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Drive cost savings without compromising quality; expand vendor base and monitor vendor performance.
• Participate in material reviews and resolve material issues promptly.
• Engage in continuous improvement programs to enhance material planning processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and finance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
