Job summary

Exasoft in Singapore seeks a Storage & Backup Engineer to administer and support storage, backup, and object storage platforms within customer environments. You will ensure platform reliability, data protection, and service availability, while optimizing performance and capacity.

The role covers Cloudian object storage, Veeam Kasten, LUN provisioning, and incident management, with opportunities to work across Windows Server, Active Directory, Red Hat OpenShift/KVM, and Ansible automation.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support HPE Alletra storage platforms.
• Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping, and capacity management.
• Monitor storage utilization and performance.
• Support storage maintenance and upgrade activities.
• Administer Cloudian object storage environments.
• Manage buckets, users, policies, and platform upgrades.
• Support backup and recovery operations using Veeam Kasten.
• Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures.
• Configure and maintain HPE ToR switch connectivity supporting storage environments.
• Troubleshoot storage and network-layer connectivity issues.
• Manage incidents, changes, service requests, and root cause analyses.
• Conduct proactive health checks and monitoring.
• Support patching and maintenance activities.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.

The Storage & Backup Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of storage, backup, and object storage platforms within the customer's infrastructure environment. The role ensures platform reliability, data protection, operational efficiency, and service availability.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Administration

• Administer and support HPE Alletra storage platforms.
• Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping, and capacity management.
• Monitor storage utilization and performance.
• Support storage maintenance and upgrade activities.

Backup & Object Storage Management

• Administer Cloudian object storage environments.
• Manage buckets, users, policies, and platform upgrades.
• Support backup and recovery operations using Veeam Kasten.

Infrastructure Operations
