Job summary

EDUCARE HUMAN CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED seeks a Science Laboratory Assistant to support the school’s science curriculum by keeping laboratories safe, organized, and stocked for learning. You will prepare and manage equipment, assist during practical lessons, and collaborate with faculty on resource preparation.

Experience in educational settings is preferred; a GCE O-Level with a science subject is required. The role involves inventory management, safe chemical handling, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O-Level with a pass in at least one Science subject.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Science laboratories and prep rooms.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Prepare and clear equipment, specimens, and materials for lessons.
• Collaborate with HOD/Science and teachers to prepare resources.
• Provide support during practical lessons to facilitate learning.
• Maintain lab equipment and teaching resources in good working order.
• Keep records of inventory, stock usage, and breakages.
• Conduct annual stocktaking and recommend purchases.
• Support procurement by monitoring stock and quotations.
• Report faulty equipment promptly for repairs or replacements.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals.
• Maintain safety equipment and report hazards promptly.
• Uphold safe laboratory practices and school safety procedures.
• Manage distribution of teaching resources for lessons.
• Support STEM activities and other departmental initiatives.
• Perform other lab-related duties as assigned.
