The Company

Our client is a leading petrochemical multinational organization with a strong global presence. They are seeking a seasoned Regional Tax Manager to serve as the right-hand person to the Global Head of Tax.

The Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Global Head of Tax, this is a strategic leadership role managing a lean team of three, driving tax advisory, compliance, and regional projects across Asia Pacific

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Global Head of Tax, supporting strategic tax planning and execution.
  • Oversee all tax matters for Asia Pacific, including direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning, advisory, and dispute resolution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of three tax professionals, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide tax insights and solutions for regional projects and initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with overseas and local regulatory bodies, including Ministry of Finance, IRAS, and Enterprise Singapore.
  • Drive tax governance and risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with global and local regulations.
  • Support international growth projects and provide guidance on complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions.
Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance, with proven regional exposure (ideally covering India and China).
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 tax consulting firm and in‑house tax leadership within a multinational environment.
  • Strong track record in business partnering and supporting regional projects.
  • Experience liaising with overseas and local regulatory authorities.
  • Hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently and provide practical solutions.
  • Positive attitude, self‑starter, and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
