Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced stamping die maintenance professional to join our production support team. You will analyze stamping processes, troubleshoot issues, and work with toolmakers to ensure efficient die operations.

The role requires substantial experience in high-speed stamping and die maintenance, with a focus on cost reduction, process capability, and strong instruction- and leadership skills to guide a team of skilled technicians.

Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma in Mechanical / Production or NTC II in tool and die making.
• For diploma holders: minimum 5 years’ high-speed stamping experience.
• For NTC II holders: minimum 15 years’ die maintenance and stamping experience.
• Initiative and innovative ideas are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret die and part drawings.
• Good knowledge in metal forming and die making/maintenance.
• Able to work under tight schedules and plan work systematically.
• Able to analyze problems for quick solutions; mass production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production Team to achieve goals and targets.
• Establish process capability, parameter settings, BOM and work instruction for dies.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities to meet stamping requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Toolmakers and Technicians.
• Train and lead a team of Toolmakers and Production Technicians.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve stamping related problems systematically to achieve productivity, quality and cost targets.
• Assist in stamping tool design reviews for new product development
• Work closely with the Production Team to achieve set goals and targets.
• Establish process capability, optimum parameter setting, mill cost, Bill of Material (BOM) and work instruction for dies and processes.
• Identify / propose cost reduction program / upgrading to achieve quality and competitive cost to meet present and future stamping requirements.
• Provide technical guidance / training to Toolmakers / Production Technicians to ensure effective operations of the area.
• Train and lead a team of Toolmakers and Production Technicians
• Work to comply with safety requirements and maintain safe working habits.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Mechanical / Production or NTC II in tool and die making.
