Responsibilities

• Rehearsing and practicing performances to perfect their art
• Performing for live audiences in various settings including theaters, concerts, and festivals
• Developing and interpreting characters for a dramatic performance
• Collaborating with directors, other performers, choreographers and agents to ensure a successful performance
• Studying and learning different types of roles and characters to expand their skills
• Maintaining good vocal and physical health to sustain performance levels
• Preparing for auditions and performing in front of casting directors
• Attending promotional events and interviews to promote their performances
• Reviewing scripts or musical scores, learning lines or songs, and developing characterization
• Engaging with the audience during a performance, often improvising reactions and dialogue
