Job summary

Bifrost is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to design and build the systems powering its simulation and synthetic data platform in Singapore. You will own significant parts of the stack from infrastructure to frontend and tooling, making architectural decisions and shipping production systems for demanding teams.

You will work across infrastructure, backend, and frontend, collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Generalist mindset across infrastructure, backend, and frontend.
• Deep experience with at least two of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, C++.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Evidence of ownership, shipping and maintaining systems, not just features.
• Clear, direct communication and ability to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship end-to-end systems from problem definition to production.
• Make architecture and design decisions shaping the platform's direction.
• Move between infrastructure, backend, and frontend as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Raise engineering bar through code quality, tooling, and mentorship.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (Kubernetes, GPUs, autoscaling).
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Develop backend services and data pipelines (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go).
• Design and maintain relational database schemas.
• Build responsive frontends when needed and maintain UX quality.
• Debug production issues and improve observability and reliability.
• Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate delivery.
