Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead NAND-related debug in SSD systems in Singapore. You will drive root-cause analysis of NAND-Firmware interactions and collaborate with NAND design and product teams on enterprise SSD development.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded firmware/software for NAND technologies, strong C/C++, Python skills, and experience with AI-assisted debugging tools. You will influence cross-functional teams and improve product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on experience with NAND flash, non-volatile memory technologies, or memory controllers
• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware/software development or NAND technologies
• Experience in firmware verification and validation, debugging, and failure analysis within laboratory and system settings
• Experience with storage technologies and/or memory systems, and collaborating with hardware teams
• Experience in leading highly-visible taskforces with cross-functional deliverables

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and leadership for NAND-related debug in SSD systems through triage, debug, and root cause of NAND-Firmware Interaction (NFI) issues
• Interface between NAND design and product teams to support enterprise SSD development
• Act as a representative to the SSD product development team and product quality to identify, detect, and reduce risks both during product development as well as for field risks
• Conduct detailed debugging and failure analysis across firmware, hardware, and system interactions using lab equipment and software instrumentation
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work
