Job summary

BD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Product Development Leader to drive concept to launch for medical devices. You will collaborate with Commercial and Marketing to identify opportunities, set technical direction, and manage phase-gate programs across multiple sites.

You will mentor engineers, oversee risk management, verification/validation, and ensure manufacturing transfer while upholding ISO 13485 and FDA QSR standards. Travel ~25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of product development experience in medical devices or regulated industries.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional projects or core teams.
• Strong knowledge of DFSS, Design to Cost and design for manufacturability.
• Experience building business cases and managing project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet clinical and customer needs with Commercial and Marketing teams and translate into product concepts and proposals.
• Lead technical direction, feasibility, risk assessments, and complex engineering problem solving.
• Oversee phase-gate program execution, design verifications, validations and design transfer to manufacturing.
• Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams with clear updates on progress, risks and decisions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QSR and BD GPDS throughout development.
