Job summary

Google LLC is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Content Safety in Singapore. You will work on safeguarding key products and building scalable content safety solutions across GenAI-based and on-device experiences.

You will lead ML infrastructure efforts, design and deploy models, and contribute to threat understanding and policy-aligned moderation with an emphasis on robust, safe product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years with one or more of: Speech/Audio ML, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML field.
• 5 years ML design and ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 5 years testing and launching software; 3 years software design & architecture.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard business-critical products, including GenAI-based server-side and on-device experiences.
• Design, build, maintain and scale content safety solutions (e.g., classifiers, multimodal understanding).
• Work on agentic workflows for threat understanding and content moderation.
• Lead ML infrastructure optimization and data processing strategies.
