Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Content Safety to advance scalable safety solutions across our products. You will work on GenAI-based risk controls, classifiers, and multimodal understanding, with opportunities to lead projects and influence architectural decisions.

This role requires 8+ years in software development, 5+ in ML with speech, RL, or ML infra, and a track record in ML design, deployment, and production testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development.
• 5+ years in ML areas: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, or ML infra.
• 5+ years in ML design, deployment, data processing, debugging and tuning.
• 5+ years testing, launching software; 3+ years in design/architecture.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard business-critical products including GenAI-based server-side and on-device experiences.
• Design, build, maintain and scale content safety solutions (classifiers, multimodal understanding).
• Work on agentic workflows for threat understanding and content moderation.
• Lead design and implementation of ML-focused solutions, optimize infrastructure, guide data/model strategies.
