Job summary

TE Connectivity's Singapore Corporate R&D Center seeks a Staff R&D Scientist/Engineer to lead AI initiatives within the AI Hub. You will guide cross-functional projects spanning data science, ML, generative and agentic AI, simulation, CAD, manufacturing, and data-driven product development.

You will translate AI capabilities into practical engineering solutions to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and shorten time to market while mentoring engineers and collaborating with global TE sites.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Data Science, AI, or related field.
Track record leading technically complex R&D or engineering AI projects with measurable impact.
Deep understanding of data science and AI, ML model development and validation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for AI initiatives in the Singapore AI Hub.
Lead cross-functional AI projects in product development, design, and manufacturing.
Develop AI/ML solutions including surrogate modeling, optimization, and computer vision.
Develop agentic AI solutions and integrate with CAD/CAE, PLM, and other systems.
Establish evaluation approaches for AI solutions including model performance and safety.
