Job summary

Novartis in Singapore is seeking a seasoned clinical operations leader to oversee strategic and operational planning for clinical trials. You will manage budgets, resource allocation, and cross-trial knowledge sharing to enable an empowered, matrixed organization capable of rapid business pivots.

You will mentor teams, ensure site activation and enrolment milestones, and drive adherence to regulatory standards while maintaining trial quality and timelines across programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in life sciences or nursing/pharmacy with relevant clinical research background.
• 5–15 years of clinical research experience.
• Experience in multiple areas such as project management, budgeting, or resourcing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational planning/management of clinical trials from execution perspective.
• Mentor and develop training materials for team members.
• Ensure trial site activation, enrolment, timelines and budgets align with objectives.
• Report adverse events and ensure timely governance documentation.

-Oversees the strategic and operational planning/ management from a clinical trial execution perspective. Oversight of budget and resource allocation within assigned trial. Enables operational excellence through process improvement and knowledge sharing across trials within program/franchise. Enables an empowered organization that can navigate in a matrix environment and adjust quickly to business needs.

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

• Manage all operational aspects of assigned clinical trials / projects -Accountable for quality & completeness of qualification & governance documentation

• Provide mentorship/coaching -Identify training needs & prepare/develop adequate training materials

• Ensures trial site selection, activation, enrolment, resource allocation, timelines & budget commitments are delivered per established trial objectives

• Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt Key performance indicators:

• Timely, efficient and quality execution of trials and trial related activities within assigned clinical program(s) within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.

• Appropriate funding and resourcing for assigned clinical program(s).

• Adherence to Novartis policy and guidelines and external regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications degree in life sciences (Science, Pharmacy, Nursing) or similar
• Experience 5-15 years clinical research experience
• Prefer experience in more than one of following areas -project management, budgeting, finance, resourcing
