Job summary

Argyll Scott is seeking an experienced SSO IDM Production L2 Engineer to support and maintain Single Sign-On and Identity Management platforms in a production security environment. The role centers on platform availability, incident handling, troubleshooting, and controlled production changes.

You will monitor performance and capacity, diagnose incidents, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to drive service improvements and secure authentication workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in production support, IT security, IAM, or SSO environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and capacity of SSO and IDM production platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
• Manage problem investigations, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
• Plan and execute production changes and deployments in accordance with established change management procedures.
• Support authentication, authorisation, access provisioning, and security-related configurations.
• Identify operational risks and ensure timely escalation and adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support when required.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SSO IDM Production L2 Engineer to support and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity Management (IDM) platforms within a production security environment. The role focuses on platform availability, incident and problem management, troubleshooting, and controlled production changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and capacity of SSO and IDM production platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
• Manage problem investigations, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
• Plan and execute production changes and deployments in accordance with established change management procedures.
• Support authentication, authorisation, access provisioning, and security-related configurations.
• Identify operational risks and ensure timely escalation and adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support when required.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in production support, IT security, IAM, or SSO environments.
• Hands‑on experience with CA SiteMinder Web SSO and identity provisioning tools such as BMC Control-SA, SailPoint, or ForgeRock.
• Strong knowledge of LDAP, SAML, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, PKI, and authentication protocols.
• Experience supporting web technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, or IIS.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, shell, or Ansible.
• Strong incident management, troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to participate in on‑call and out‑of‑hours production support.

Desirable: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security, Apigee, SQL, and ITIL knowledge.
