Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Compute Platform SRE team in Singapore. You will ensure the reliability of data warehouse products, services and query engines, and uphold SLAs while working with ClickHouse, Spark, Presto and related technologies.

You will automate deployment and reliability tooling, lead incident response and postmortems, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across time zones to optimize performance and resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the SRE domain.
• Proficient with Linux, networking and databases.
• Familiar with open-source or commercial technologies such as ClickHouse, Hadoop, Doris, Spark, Presto and Kubernetes.
• At least 2 years of coding in Python, Shell, Java, Go or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of TikTok's data warehouse products, services and query engines.
• Meet SLAs and respond to outages.Analyze performance and reliability patterns to identify bottlenecks.
• Automate deployment, scaling and reliability tooling; develop auto-failure and auto-healing capabilities.
• Lead incidents and postmortems and coordinate cross-functional response.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to incorporate reliability in the software lifecycle.
