Job summary

NHG Health seeks a Sr/Technician to manage engineering and maintenance of hospital building facilities services. Responsibilities include maintenance of Electrical, ACMV, Plumbing, Fire Alarm Systems, and overall building services to ensure continuous operation.

The role requires at least 4 years in building engineering services, hands-on approach, and ability to work on a 24/7 rotating shift (including night shifts) with strong English communication for reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Building Services or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of engineering experience in building services.
• Able to multitask and work independently to meet tight timelines.
• Good written and spoken English for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building facilities and equipment.
• Respond to water leakages, floods, and water supply issues.
• Update maintenance records in the computerised system.
• Operate the Facilities Control Centre helpdesk and store as needed.
• Identify and procure spare parts.
• Inspect, test, and service facilities/equipment to maximise availability.
• Ensure the building's facilities are upkept and safe.

As a Sr/Technician, you will be responsible for the engineering and maintenance of all building facilities services of the Hospital.

• Basic knowledge on Electrical, ACMV, Plumbing, Fire Alarm System, Mechanical and Building Services system
• Familiar with LV switchboards, DB'c MCB/RCCB/RCD/UPS, generators and power outages
• Able to respond to water leakages, flooding, pumps and water supply issues
• Able to assess MEP breakdown symptoms and identify the cause and escalat to the appropriate Trade IC
• Update the maintenance and breakdown records into the computerised system
• Maintain the workshop facilities, tools and test equipment
• Operate the Facilities Control Centre helpdesk and Store, when needed
• Identify and initiate spare parts procurement
• Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot all facilities and equipment to maximise them availability
• Upkeep the building’s facilities and equipment

REQUIRMENTS:

• Preferably Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years of engineering experience preferable in building Engineering services
• Able to multitask and work independently, with a hands-on approach, to meet tight timelines
• Good oral and written communication skills in the English language for report writing
• Committed to work on 24/7 rotating shift schedule (including night shift) and support cover duties
