Job summary

KLA designs and manufactures advanced electronics inspection tools. This role focuses on installing semiconductor equipment at customer sites, performing system bring-up and qualification, and delivering on-site training and handover support.

You will collaborate with engineering and global teams to ensure safe, compliant installations and successful handoffs. Travel 80-90% to customer locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or high-precision electromechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow strict EHS procedures.
• Willingness to travel internationally 80-90% of the time and work at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, and software installation of semiconductor tools at customer sites.
• Execute system bring-up, calibration, and functional testing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation.
• Ensure all installation tasks comply with safety procedures and industry standards.
• Conduct system diagnostics, verification tests, and performance qualification.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Document test results and ensure systems meet performance specifications before handoff.
• Serve as the primary on-site technical contact during installation.
• Provide customer training on basic system operation as part of the handover process.
• Communicate progress, risks, and timelines to internal stakeholders and customer teams.
• Manage time, resources, and tasks to meet installation project schedules.
• Support continuous improvement of installation processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with product updates and best practices.
