Job summary

KLA Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites around the world. You will manage setup, alignment, calibration, and repair of highly complex systems, delivering quality service and documentation.

A strong ability to travel extensively and work independently is essential. You will collaborate with other field engineers and support teams to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar field.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills to understand customer needs.
• Demonstrates initiative and can work independently.
• Willingness to travel overseas extensively.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide.
• Setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of complex equipment.
• Assist other field service engineers post-installation; ensure system quality and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime.
• Prepare field service reports and share insights with supporting functions.
• Travel burden: >80% travel for installation and on-site support.

Group/Division

The KLA Services team consists of Service Sales, Marketing, Spares Supply Chain Management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, Digital Solutions and Analytics, and Technical Product Support. Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets – with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

• Perform installation of semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide while ensuring the systems meet specified performance specifications.

• Responsible for installation activities includes but not limited to setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of highly complex capital equipment.

• Post installation over support, assists other field service engineers as appropriate. Assures operational quality of system equipment & coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.

• Prepares fields service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.

• Require high flexibility, adaptability, and autonomy due to the job includes > 80% travel for installation and field over support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering

• Minimum 2 years' of experience in similar field

• Experience on semiconductor capital equipment is an advantage

• Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.

• Shows initiative and can work independently.

• Able to travel overseas extensively
