Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. is seeking a Sr Principal Foundry Engineer in Singapore to lead semiconductor manufacturing processes in a high-volume silicon foundry environment. You will work with product engineering to drive yield improvements and implement robust, quality-focused manufacturing practices.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor engineering, strong problem solving, and collaboration across SFE, DE, and BU teams. This position is based in Singapore with regular interaction across global teams.

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years semiconductor industry experience preferred.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for semiconductor manufacturing processes within a silicon foundry NTI/NPI to HVM environment.
• Oversees process development, qualification, continuous improvement for silicon manufacturing technologies.
• Drive foundry on-wafer yield improvement initiatives using SPC and data-driven methodologies.
• Support technology transfer and product qualification from NTI/NPI to HVM.
• Collaborate to ensure process robustness, manufacturability and Quality Compliance, including Change Management.
• Co-lead rapid response to quality escalation issues with SQE and cross-functional teams.
• Assist Sourcing on cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Responsible for semiconductor manufacturing processes within a silicon foundry NTI/NPI to HVM environment
• Oversees process development, qualification, continuous improvement for silicon manufacturing technologies
• Work closely with product engineering team to drive foundry on wafer yield improvement initiatives using SPC and data-driven methodologies
• Support Corp team (SFE, DE, BU PM) on technology transfer and/or product qualification from NTI/NPI to HVM
• Collaborate with SFE and Quality to ensure process robustness, manufacturability and Quality Compliance, including Change Management
• Joint-effort with SQE as first responders on problem solving on quality issues and co-lead Task Force team on rapid response to quality escalation issues
• Support Sourcing on cost reduction and value engineering initiatives

Requirements:

• Masters/Bachelor Degree in Engineering with at least 10 years or more prior experience for the semiconductor industry
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skill
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Data-driven mindset with focus on quality, yield and delivery
• Experience with SPC, DOE, FMEA, Root-Cause Analysis methodologies
