Job summary

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore seeks a Sr Asst Manager to support Corporate Development, advancing strategic priorities and partnerships.

You will contribute to governance, organisational effectiveness, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional initiatives across the NHG Health Group. The role offers exposure to policy development and organisational transformation in a premier psychiatric care setting.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with approximately 8 years of working experience.
• Experience in strategy, policy, organisational development, healthcare, public sector, consulting or corporate planning is preferred for senior roles.
• Healthcare and social sector experience is desirable, government sector experience is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning, policy development and organisational performance initiatives to advance organisational priorities.
• Conduct research, environmental scanning and analysis to support management decision-making and long-term planning.
• Support strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives that strengthen the organisation's positioning, influence and institutional impact.
• Strengthen organisational effectiveness, resilience and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to projects on organisational capability-building, transformation, talent development and alignment.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
• Assist in governance, corporate reporting and organisation-wide coordination activities.
• Prepare management papers, corporate submissions, presentations and reports for leadership discussions.
• Coordinate engagements with internal and external stakeholders and support corporate events.

Job Description:

The incumbent supports the Corporate Development function in advancing the organisation's strategic priorities, partnerships and institutional development agenda through participation in strategic, organisational and partnership-related initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

SPECIFIC

Strategic Planning, Partnerships and Advocacy

• Support strategic planning, policy development and organisational performance initiatives to advance organisational priorities.
• Conduct research, environmental scanning and analysis to support management decision-making and long-term planning.
• Support strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives that strengthen the organisation's positioning, influence and institutional impact

Organisational Effectiveness and Alignment

• Support initiatives that strengthen organisational effectiveness, resilience and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to projects relating to organisational capability-building, transformation, talent development and organisational alignment.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and support cross-functional initiatives with organisational or enterprise-wide impact.

Corporate Governance and Organisational Coordination

• Support governance, corporate reporting and organisation-wide coordination activities.
• Assist in the preparation of management papers, corporate submissions, presentations and reports for leadership discussions.
• Coordinate engagements with internal and external stakeholders and support corporate events and organisational initiatives.

GENERAL

• Participate in cross-functional projects and organisational initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support project implementation and organisational outcomes.
• Be deployed across different workstreams within the department in accordance with organisational priorities and developmental needs.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational and Professional Requirements

• Degree holder with approximately 8 years of working experience.
• Candidates with relevant experience in strategy, policy, organisational development, healthcare, public sector, consulting, communications or corporate planning may be considered for more senior appointments.
• Working experience in the healthcare and social sectors. Experience in the government sector will be a key advantage, but not necessary
