Job summary

STAFFLINK SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and manage swallowing, speech, and cognitive-communication needs. The role covers dysphagia risk management and care planning with a focus on safe feeding for patients with serious illnesses.

Responsibilities include educating families, planning goals of care, and delivering training to nursing and therapy staff. 3+ years' experience and AHP registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Bilingual and able to communicate in local dialects.

• Recommend diet textures, fluid consistencies, swallowing strategies and communication supports.

• Participates in goals-of-care discussions around oral intake and care planning.
• Ensure compliance with organisation's standards, clinical protocols, and infection control requirements.
• Plan and deliver staff training and in-service sessions for nursing staff, care staff and therapy assistants as needed.

Leading Healthcare Provider! Mon-Fri / Near Marymount MRT / Transport provided at MRT AHC registered & 2-3yrs Speech Therapist is required! Our client is a leading Healthcare provider

Responsibilities

• Assess swallowing, speech, language, communication and cognitive-communication needs.
• Identify and manage dysphagia risks, including aspiration prevention and safe feeding in patients with serious progressive illness such as advanced cancer, organ failures and neurological diseases.
• Recommend diet textures, fluid consistencies, swallowing strategies and communication supports.
• Educates family/caregivers on safe feeding techniques and signs of distress.
• Participates in goals-of-care discussions around oral intake and care planning.
• Ensure compliance with organisation's standards, clinical protocols, and infection control requirements.
• Plan and deliver staff training and in-service sessions for nursing staff, care staff and therapy assistants as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.

Other Information

• Working Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am to 530pm, Fri ends at 5pm
• Location: Near Marymount MRT (Transport provided at MRT)
• Up to S$5.5K Base+bonuses!
