Job summary

Stafflink Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Speech Therapist for a leading healthcare provider. The role focuses on assessing swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive-communication needs.

You will identify dysphagia risks, advise diet textures and feeding strategies, and educate families. Mon-Fri, 8am-5.30pm, near Marymount MRT with transport provided. AHC registration and 2-3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must be registered with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Has at least 3 years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Bilingual and able to communicate in local dialects preferably.
• Meticulous and good time management.
• Team player with good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess swallowing, speech, language, communication and cognitive-communication needs.
• Identify and manage dysphagia risks, including aspiration prevention and safe feeding in patients with serious progressive illness such as advanced cancer, organ failures and neurological diseases.
• Recommend diet textures, fluid consistencies, swallowing strategies and communication supports.
• Educates family/caregivers on safe feeding techniques and signs of distress.
• Participates in goals-of-care discussions around oral intake and care planning.
• Ensure compliance with organisation's standards, clinical protocols, and infection control requirements.
• Plan and deliver staff training and in-service sessions for nursing staff, care staff and therapy assistants as needed.

• Working Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am to 530pm, Fri ends at 5pm
