Job summary

St. Andrew's Autism Centre in Singapore seeks a dedicated educator to deliver specialized instruction for students aged 13 and above. You will plan engaging, well-paced lessons, adapt to diverse learner profiles, and use evidence-based pedagogy to meet individual needs.

You will monitor progress with appropriate assessments, provide accurate feedback, and collaborate with families, Allied Professionals and other stakeholders to implement IEP/ITP goals and support positive post-school outcomes.

Qualifications

• Plan engaging and well-paced lessons for diverse learners.
• Deliver lessons with evidence-based pedagogy tailored to each student.
• Use appropriate assessments and feedback to monitor progress and close gaps.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with students through care and encouragement.
• Develop data-driven IEP/ITP plans with families and professionals.
• Create safe, well-structured classroom routines.
• Apply behaviour plans to support students with challenges.
• Manage emergencies and follow school safety procedures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate in professional learning teams.
• Support co-curricular activities to enrich learning.
• Contribute as a committee member on school initiatives.
• Maintain direct communications with families and partners.
• Collaborate with families to support learning and transition planning.
• Handle daily attendance and administrative tasks.
• Conduct parent education sessions.
• Utilize AAC and assistive learning tools to support development.
