Job summary

The Elitejob in Singapore is seeking a Student Care Teacher (SPED) to join the team for a 5-day work week from 10 am to 7 pm during the school term, with additional hours during school holidays. You will create engaging lessons and manage a supportive classroom environment for primary students with special needs.

Responsibilities include preparing teaching resources, supervising homework, planning activities, organising enrichment workshops, and ensuring safety and wellbeing while communicating

Qualifications

• Polytechnic Diploma or WSQ Student Care certification.
• At least 2 years of teaching children, preferably primary level.
• Experience with students with special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Patient and passionate about SPED education.
• Solid understanding of primary school curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and upkeep teaching resources, arrangement and learning environment.
• Supervise and guide primary children with homework.
• Plan and deliver activities and programmes to encourage participation.
• Organise enrichment workshops for overall development.
• Create creative activities to develop innovation, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Engage children in outdoor play to build psychomotor skills.
• Handle daily administration: attendance, forms, health and safety.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of students.
• Liaise with parents/guardians on learning progress and behaviour.
