Job summary

DEFENCE COLLECTIVE SINGAPORE LTD. seeks a Specialist/Senior Specialist, Centre Management System Support to ensure daily readiness of exhibits, AV systems, facilities and essential services across our centres.

You will supervise contractors, set up event logistics, and support facilities improvements. The role requires rotating shifts, physical work, and clear English communication. 2-year renewable/convertible contract.

Qualifications

• N-Level/O Level or equivalent with professional certificate.
• At least 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Able to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Physically able to lift heavy loads.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily startup and shutdown of facilities, exhibits, attractions and projection systems.
• Conduct first-level corrective maintenance and respond to faults.
• Supervise contractors and service providers for safety and standards.
• Setup logistics including AV systems, furniture and equipment for events and visits.
• Report and recommend spares and consumables; participate in improvements.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties, hands-on work, and projects as assigned.
• Respond to fire emergencies/incidents at sites.

Job description

THIS IS A 2-YEAR RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

The Specialist/Senior Specialist, Centre Management System Support is responsible for ensuring all exhibits, audio-visual equipment, facilities, and essential services are available daily to support daily operations for centres/museums under Defence Collective Singapore (DCS).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily Startup & Shutdown of Facilities, Exhibits, Attractions & Projection Systems.
• Conduct 1st level corrective maintenance, respond to any system/building faults.
• Supervise and inspect the works of contractors and the works of the service providers (cleaning, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, car park and security). To ensure contractors’ compliance to safety, regulations and level of standards set my DCS.
• Conducts setup of logistics inclusive but not limited to AV Systems, Furniture, and equipment for events & daily organised visits.
• Report and recommend buying of critical spares and consumables for various facilities repair and improvement and participate in facilities improvement projects.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties, hands-on work, projects as assigned.
• Respond to the fire emergency/incidents and accidents at sites.

REQUIREMENTS

• N-Level/O Level/ NITEC/ Professional Certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience in a comparable role
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure and to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.
• Withstand various strenuous activities such as frequent walking, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
• Able to lift heavy loads.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
