Job summary

MIJ Hub in Singapore is seeking a Special Needs Educator Aide to assist the Special Needs Educator in delivering personalized education to students with diverse needs. You will assist in classroom management, help students with daily activities, and implement IEPs under guidance.

You will collaborate with therapists and staff, communicate with parents as directed, and participate in team meetings to share progress and strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.
Patience and empathy when working with diverse needs.
Clear communication with educators, staff and parents.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Basic knowledge of assistive technology is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assist the Special Needs Educator in preparing lesson materials and maintaining classroom structure.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons.
Help with daily tasks and transitions, using assistive tools as needed.
Support behavioral and emotional well-being following planned strategies.
Collaborate with therapists and staff to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain records and assist with administrative tasks for lessons.
Engage in professional development and peer mentoring.
