Job summary

ZEE JUNIORS in Singapore is hiring a Special Education Teacher to assess students’ skills, plan teaching strategies, and support children with disabilities within Early Intervention programs. You will develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapt lessons to each child’s abilities, and monitor progress toward goals throughout the school year.

Collaboration with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators is essential, and you will supervise teacher assistants to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention or equivalent.
• Knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies.
• Experience with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' skills to determine needs and plan teaching strategies.

• Plan activities tailored to each student’s abilities.

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
• Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student's abilities
• Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
• Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress
• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress and goals
• Discuss student's progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators
• Supervise and mentor teacher assistants who work with students with disabilities
• Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and after graduation
• Minimum diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs)
• Passion to help children with special needs, to maximize their talents and potential
• Teaching experience in EIPIC will be an advantage
• Experience working with children with learning disabilities
• Positive learning attitude and flexibility

Requirements

• Relevant certifcate and experience as a Special Education Teacher
