Job summary

URBAN GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned chef to partner with the Executive Chef and stakeholders for planning menus, testing recipes, and refining dishes across restaurant concepts. You will create innovative recipes using seasonal ingredients, ensuring the menu reflects the restaurant identity and profitability goals.

You will lead kitchen staff, apply diverse culinary techniques, and help maintain high standards of quality and service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have culinary training and practical kitchen knowledge.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes and ingredients according to recipes, portions, and presentation standards set by management.
• Monitor and check stock levels, handle kitchen operations, and order products to ensure consistent food quality.
• Apply strong western kitchen techniques, basic pastry knowledge, and Asian/local cuisine skills to deliver quality dishes.
• Training and supervising kitchen staff.
• Operate kitchen equipment and monitor for any issues or malfunction; maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and all levels of staff to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Work independently to manage assigned tasks and collaborate effectively as a team player.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support kitchen functions and service quality.

Job Summary

Works with Executive Chef and Stakeholders for menu planning, which involves conceptualizing, testing, and perfecting dishes for restaurants' menus. To create innovative recipes using seasonal ingredients, ensuring that the menu aligns with the restaurants' culinary identity and profitability goals.
