Job summary

ULTIMED HEALTHCARE CLINICS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations and assist radiologists with diagnoses. You will explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort, and maintain high standards of infection control.

The role requires a recognised Diploma/Degree in Sonography, AHPC registration in Singapore, and at least 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience. You will work in a collaborative team, with responsibility for image quality and reporting.

Qualifications

• Recognised Diploma / Degree in Sonography or equivalent.
• Registered with AHPC, Singapore.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision.

Sonographer

A Sonographer uses ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs, tissues, or pregnancies. They work closely with physicians to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations as requested by physicians.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort.
• Responsible for providing excellent services and care to patients
• Capture and analyze images, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols.
• Prepare reports and assist radiologists or doctors in diagnosis.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; adhere to safe work practices especially in patient care, modesty, safety and infection control
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure that the ultrasound equipment operates at optimal levels
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
• Qualified to perform most or all ultrasound tests, including but not limited to:
• Thyroid Ultrasound
• Carotid Doppler
• Abdominal Ultrasound
• Pelvic Ultrasound
• Scrotal Ultrasound
• Prostate Ultrasound
• Breast Ultrasound
• Kidney, Ureter, and Bladder (KUB) Ultrasound
• Hepatobiliary System (HBS) Ultrasound
• Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision

Requirements

• Recognised Diploma / Degree in Sonography or equivalent
• Registered with AHPC (Allied Health Professions Council), Singapore
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in local hospital/clinic performing ultrasound examinations
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision
