Job summary

XSquare is seeking a Solution Engineer to lead the technical design of integrated automation systems for customers. You will blend inhouse/partner AGVs with third‑party equipment to meet requirements, and design holistic, right-sized solutions rather than a one-product fit.

You will drive technical discovery workshops, craft end‑to‑end architectures, and support regional projects across Vietnam and Malaysia, traveling as needed to ensure seamless deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution design, systems integration or automation consulting.
• Deep understanding of intralogistics systems (racking, conveyors, mobile robots, WMS/WCS).
• Experience with automation layout planning, material flow design and system architecture.

Job description

We’re looking for a Solution Engineer to lead the technical design of integrated automation systems for our customers. This role combines broad intralogistics knowledge with system thinking and customer-centric design. You will create holistic solutions that combine inhouse/partner’s AGVs with third-party systems (racking, conveyors, AMRs, etc.) to meet customer requirements. This is not a one-product fit-all role—we’re looking for someone who designs the right solution, not just sells what we make. The role will also support regional projects, including projects in Vietnam and Malaysia, as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end technical solutions tailored to customer facilities, combining inhouse/partner’s AGVs with third-party technologies.
• Lead technical discovery and solution workshops with customers.
• Evaluate customer operations, workflows, and constraints to propose optimal automation setups.
• Build system architecture, layout plans, data flows, and integration frameworks.
• Identify and work with third-party vendors (e.g. racking, AMR, conveyor, etc..) to deliver a unified solution.
• Support the sales team with technical proposals, costings, and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with solution delivery team and project teams for implementation alignment.
• Support regional projects, including in Vietnam and Malaysia, and work with local and regional stakeholders as needed.
• Stay current on traditional and emerging intralogistics technologies to inform solution design.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in solution design, systems integration, or automation consulting.
• Deep understanding of intralogistics systems—racking, conveyors, mobile robots, WMS/WCS systems, etc.
• Experience with automation layout planning, material flow design, and system architecture.
• Familiar with industrial communication protocols, APIs, and integration between software platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
• Willingness to travel overseas when required to support regional projects and customer needs.

Technical Skills Required:

• Knowledge on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and machine learning.
• Experience with facilities network architecture and design as well as IT security management, a plus
• Experience with AGV/AMR systems, PLCs, SCADA, or ROS.

Bonus if you have:

• Background in logistics operations, warehouse automation, or manufacturing systems.
• CAD or layout planning tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)
• Exposure to large-scale automation rollouts or retrofit projects.
