Citi is seeking a Senior Director, Solutions Design & Program Management to lead the design, planning, and delivery of complex technology solutions across a large enterprise portfolio. Citi is looking for a Senior Director, Solutions Design & Program Management to lead the design, planning, and delivery of complex technology solutions across a large enterprise portfolio. In this senior leadership role, you will connect business strategy to operational execution - owning solution direction, driving cross-functional program delivery, and ensuring teams have the clarity, structure, and governance needed to deliver at scale. Reporting directly into C-suite leadership, you will serve as a critical interface between technology, operations, and business stakeholders, shaping how capabilities are identified, funded, and brought to life.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of technology solutions across a large enterprise portfolio, connecting business objectives to platform direction and ensuring alignment with long-term operational strategy.
• Define and communicate a 3-5 year strategic vision for the portfolio, translating business priorities into structured delivery roadmaps and program plans.
• Serve as the primary interface with senior business stakeholders and executives, owning periodic reporting, investment updates, and strategic trade-off decisions at portfolio level.
• Establish governance frameworks for prioritization and triage, enabling teams to manage competing demands, resolve delivery blockers, and maintain solution quality across programs.
• Oversee funding visibility and resource allocation across teams, ensuring clear accountability for how budgets, vendors, and capabilities are being utilized across the portfolio.
• Identify central capabilities required across the portfolio and drive horizontal alignment, ensuring solutions are consistent, scalable, and connected to broader organizational direction.
• Manage delivery risk across all programs, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and maintaining transparency with stakeholders on control and governance matters.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 15 or more years of experience spanning solution design, program management, and strategic planning, with a demonstrated record of delivering complex technology initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Expertise in building and evaluating complex business and operational models, using data and metrics to support investment decisions, funding cases, and delivery trade-offs.
• Proven ability to lead multiple teams through other managers, with experience managing performance, developing talent, and building accountable delivery organizations.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with direct experience influencing decisions and shaping outcomes at the executive level.
• Deep understanding of how to connect solution design with program governance, hands-on project tracking, and operational delivery in fast-moving environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage portfolio-level funding and vendor relationships, with clear visibility into how resources are deployed and where adjustments are needed.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline, complementing a Bachelor's or University degree as a minimum educational foundation.
• Experience applying design thinking techniques to shape scalable solutions across complex, enterprise-wide customer or operational domains.
• Background in e-commerce, platform delivery, or technology product environments where solution design and business strategy intersect at scale.
